He has been selected for the Jiangxi Provincial Training Program for Leading Academic and Technical Talents. He is one of the 3rd‑batch Young Professors and the 9th‑batch “Future Star” scholars of Jiangxi Agricultural University. He obtained his joint‑training PhD at Macquarie University, Australia, and was a visiting scholar at the University of Oxford, United Kingdom. He has presided over 3 projects supported by the National Natural Science Foundation of China, 1 sub‑project of the National Basic Resource Survey Special Program, 1 sub‑project under the National Joint Breeding Research Program, 3 provincial science and technology projects of Jiangxi Province, and 1 science and technology project from the Department of Science and Technology of Jiangxi Province. He has published more than 90 academic papers, including 47 SCI papers in journals such as *Current Biology*, *Molecular Ecology*, *Entomologia Generalis*, *Insect Biochemistry and Molecular Biology*, *iScience* and *Insect Science*. He has won 1 Second‑class Prize of Jiangxi Provincial Science and Technology Progress Award, 2 Second‑class Prizes of Jiangxi Provincial Teaching Achievement Award, and 1 Third‑class Prize of Zhejiang Agricultural Harvest Award.
