China Chamber of Commerce of Import & Export of
Foodstuffs, Native Produce & Animal By-Products (CFNA) was established in
September 1988.
CFNA works in the following
areas: to coordinate and regulate trade, services and related activities in the
cereals, oils, foodstuffs, native produce and livestock industry; to carry out
consultation, to provide services, and to protect fair competition; to
safeguard the legitimate rights and interests of the country, the industry and
its members; to maintain the operating order in trade, services and related
activities; to prompt member companies to assume social responsibilities; and
to promote the healthy development of China's cereals, oils, foodstuffs, native
produce and livestock industries.
The membership of CFNA has
exceeded 4300 companies, among which 65 are standing council member and 140 are
council member. Its membership, covering all parts of China, is composed of the
largest and most representative companies and a large number of small and
medium-sized enterprises.
The product line of CFNA members
covers all agricultural, forestry, food and livestock products that CFNA
coordinates, including live animals; animal products; vegetable products;
animal, vegetable or microbial fats and oils and their cleavage products;
prepared edible fats; animal or vegetable waxes; prepared foodstuffs;
beverages; spirits and vinegar; raw hides and skins; leather; furskins and
articles thereof; wood and articles of
wood; and carpets.
CFNA has 12 departments, 45
chambers of commodities, and Beijing Jinsui Exhibition Center. CFNA employs an excellent team of
professionals who grasp economic concepts and foreign language. The team is
also well versed in professional commodity knowledge, domestic and
international markets; familiar with industrial trends and related enterprises;
keeps close and extensive contacts with government; and is dedicated to
promoting the production and trade activities of its members.
